I graduated at the top of my class with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development, concentrating in Child Development, from California State University, East Bay. Through my academic work, I have focused on understanding developmental pathways, family systems, and how children learn, cope, and express themselves across environments. I plan to continue my training through a Master of Social Work program and use that to find additional ways to help children and families.
My passion for this field is deeply personal. As a parent of both neurodivergent and neurotypical children, I have spent many years navigating developmental evaluations, educational systems, and the emotional landscape that families often encounter while seeking support. Those experiences showed me how powerful it is for parents to feel heard, informed, and guided—and inspired me to pursue a career dedicated to advocating for children and empowering their families.
At Mindful Neuron Center, I serve as the Case Coordinator, where I collaborate closely with Dr. Alvarado and our team to create a clear, supportive experience for every family. I assist with coordinating evaluations, managing documentation, communicating with parents and schools, and ensuring each case moves smoothly from initial contact to final recommendations. My goal is to offer a process that feels organized, compassionate, and culturally attuned, making space for every child’s unique story and every family’s needs.
Personal Interests:
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching Washington Capitals hockey (Go CAPS!), hiking and training for challenging trails, crocheting handmade gifts for friends and family, disc golfing, and spending time in the Pacific Northwest, where I find inspiration in its landscapes and sense of calm.
