From a young age, I knew I wanted to understand the human heart, not through medicine, but through emotions. One of my earliest memories is playing with my mother and my dolls when she asked if I wanted to be a heart doctor. I replied, “No, Mom, I want to be a doctor who understands emotions.” From that moment, I knew I wanted to be a psychologist, and I’ve carried that passion with me ever since.
I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) clinical neuropsychologist and the founder of Mindful Neuron Center, where I provide comprehensive neuropsychological and psycho-educational evaluations for children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. My assessments include psycho-educational evaluations, neuropsychological-educational evaluations, socio-emotional assessments, transition assessments, and functional behavior assessments. I take pride in creating a process that is inclusive, culturally attuned, and collaborative, working closely with families, schools, and educators to ensure each individual’s needs are understood and supported.
My experience spans across many settings, including working with foster youth, students in special education, military families, and late adults with dementia or Alzheimer’s. As a proud military spouse, I also bring sensitivity to the unique challenges faced by veterans and their loved ones. In addition to my clinical practice, I have had the privilege of teaching psychology at Mt. San Jacinto College, Norco College, and Riverside Community College, and leading workshops on mindfulness, resilience, and mental health.
At the heart of my work is a lifelong commitment to helping people thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
